Exhibition 15×15/20×20
Architettura dell’Immaginario
Varese – Italy, Punto sull’Arte 2021
The limit of perception is also the threshold of human imagination.
I am interested in the moment of transition from one state to another, between different realities and I share an attitude very close to alchemical science. It is the moment of transition that has all my interest and it is precisely that moment that I try to block in time and space through the resin, creating what I call dynamic equilibrium. The operation I carry out is not so far from the transmutation of one matter into another.
These liquid architectures tell of an expanded time in which the form has the value of a mandala.
I tell a story in the path of a colored ink that hits a solid body like ice: I therefore have a very dilated perception of time because in an attempt to stop its flow in the resin I try to focus attention between what it was, and ‘and what it could be. Thus time becomes memory within the work.
I am transparency and opacity, the apparent fragility structured with strong invisible fiber; are the disintegration and assembly; they are the matter that is dismembered and the ink that liquefies.
It is a reflection on the world and on a sense of sacredness that is intrinsic to things. The material I use simply becomes a tool to shape this vision.

Core element since the first edition of this show is, as always, the square formats – 15×15 cm and 20×20 cm. There are no constraints on subjects and techniques, but only on the size of the works, so all the artists are free to express and can prove themselves on such a challenging research. On show there are more than 80 artworks created with the most varied artistic techniques: from monotypes to drybrush, from glass to rope, from marble to paper, up until the most traditional oil and acrylic colors. All the artworks have been thought specifically for this exhibition and have therefore been designed as unique works.
In the Project Room at the ground floor of the gallery there will be a selection of available artworks from the past editions of the Collection created by, among others, Claudia Giraudo, Ernesto Morales, Sabrina Milazzo, Jernej Forbici, Marika Vicari and Brian Keith Stephens.
The exhibition is accompanied by a BILINGUAL CATALOGUE created by PUNTO SULL’ARTE containing the reproduction of the exhibited artworks.
The event is organized in compliance with the health regulations issued by Italian Government and the access to the Gallery will be limited. It is recommended to book a time slot from 3 to 7 pm for visiting the exhibition and avoiding waiting times.
